As reported on the website www.trinitynews.ie, graduates from a career-specific course such as dentistry have very low unemployment rates, with many finding a job within the first six months of graduating.

Although there has been a global financial slow-down, the healthcare industry has to date been little affected by the credit crunch. Unemployment rates for healthcare professionals are exceedingly low at 0.2%.

Further good news for dental practices comes from the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). Commenting on the FSB's latest survey results, chairman John Wright commented that as smaller enterprises tend to be more flexible, they can rapidly shift their focus to adapt to changing circumstances. They are able to respond quickly to any market fluctuation, thereby minimising the effect of the global slow-down.
