Psychologist Bonus 2025: Requirements, rankings and methods of delivery
To access the Psychologist Bonus 2025 it is necessary to be resident in Italy and have an ordinary or current ISEE not exceeding 50,000 euros. The amount varies according to the income band: 1500 euros with ISEE less than 15 thousand euros; 1000 euros with ISEE up to 30 thousand euros and 500 euros with ISEE up to 50 thousand euros. The contribution covers up to 50 euros per session and is paid directly to the professional: no sum is credited to the citizen who applies and is entitled to the bonus.
Psychologist Bonus 2025: how to apply and the new clause that makes the law lapses
Requests may be submitted from 15 September to 14 November 2025 exclusively online. It can be accessed via SPID, CIE or CNS to the INPS portal, looking for the “Psychotherapy sessions contribution” service. Alternatively, the application can also be submitted via the Contact Center, calling the toll -free number 803.164 (free of fixed network) or 06164164 (for a fee from mobile). After November 14, the INPS will design the rankings at regional level and by autonomous province, following two criteria: the lowest ISEE value and, with the same conditions, the chronological order of submission of the application. At that point he will warn those who had access to the contribution via SMS or e-mail, as well as through the reserved area of the portal. Those who obtain the contribution will receive a unique code to be presented to the therapist for each session. The “voucher” can be used at a private psychotherapist who has joined the initiative and is regularly enrolled in the register. Attention. The beneficiaries will then have 270 days from the publication of the rankings to take advantage of the bonus. And then there is the clause of forfeiture, a real novelty of 2025. The bonus is lost if it is not used at least once within 60 days from the communication of acceptance of the application. In this case, the scrolling of the rankings will start, which will allow subsequent to the list to access the benefit.
The funds allocated for this year are 9.5 million euros, sufficient to cover just over 6,300 requests. According to the estimates of the National Council of the Order of Psychologists, in Italy it would be at least 5 million people who need psychological support but cannot afford it. Last year, against over 400 thousand questions, 3,300 actual beneficiaries were. Also for this reason the decadence clause was introduced.
