Behind Mary Poppins’s umbrella, a trauma, illusions and families in disarray. But everyone insists: “It was good”
Mary Poppins is good. He arrives in Viale dei Ciliegi number 17. It is brought to the ground by an umbrella, wears a hat, the jacket, keeps his feet in his duck and smiles is not known to whom. He chose the Banks family house to stay. A family who is looking for a nanny for those two terrible children, so terrible and impossible who even play. Mary Poppins bursts at home giving orders to all members of the Banks family, without giving answers when a question is asked, gets in the room and, from here on, she decides everything. We all know the story and Mary Poppins is good, there is no doubt: they decided the screenwriters and so it must be.
But does it matter if, due to Poppins, does Mr. Banks lose his job? Maybe it matters if Mrs. Banks becomes an activist that you don’t know which faction and let everyone enter that beautiful house for a picket, ruining the furniture of the room? It matters if the housekeeper, already a little in the flesh, lets himself go to his evident bulimia because there is so much Mary Poppins that is good?
And then, the chimney sweep. Her friend, who is in love with her. What does Mary do? It delude it, make the Gitarella in the park together with the children. The friend in love takes her as a general test for a future marriage, but she calls him at home only when the child is swallowed up by the fireplace … better by letting the dynamics lose … the brushed, flattering, arrives in a second together with all his colleagues. Obviously, to make a break in Mary’s heart.
Moral: He improvises a ballet on the roofs, he doesn’t really know how to do it, he also risks life. It descends from that roof cabbage, thinks: yes, now Mary and I will trust. But nothing. Mary takes him away with a nice “Ciaone”, and the end of the story. All this happens in front of two poor innocent children, who sing that song without a meaning, transformed by the many alluits in the stanzas.
Finally, when the family is in total disarray, Mary Poppins attacks again in the umbrella and goes far. Leaving the manipulated at home to dance, scream and the resigned chimney sweep, in eternal expectation of his return.
It is clear that Mr. Disney has not told us right. He knows he had exaggerated. And for this they all invented that Joker had a difficult mother, etc. … but bales. Joker is actually the child raised by Mary Poppins who, after the trauma suffered, came out a head hair. The father, Mr. Banks, has even become a penguin. The mother thought she was Giovanna D’Arco and locked him up. The girl has turned into a torch man: he acts in disguise, but basically he remained simple.
The housekeeper … is the true Voldemort. But, let’s always remember that Mary Poppins was good.
