“A return to the future”. With this declaration-manifesto Simona Ventura inaugurates his first time at the helm of the Big Brotherwhich starts again tonight on Canale 5 to celebrate the 25 years of the format in Italy. Fourteen years after the last experience as the presenter of a reality show, Supersimo returns with his figure: authenticity, lightness and determination. “The password will be truth,” he underlines, and never like today the public seems to be desired exactly this: less constructions, more substance.
Ventura and the new recipe of the GF
“I have always defended my competitors and I will continue to do so: a conductor must protect them, they are his treasure,” says Ventura. His approach is to bring the GF back to the origins, restoring the charm of the collective story. In the studio it will not be alone: to comment on the dynamics of the house there will be a panel that speaks the language of the history of the reality show. Cristina Plevani, first winner, Ascanio Pacelli and Floriana seconds return with the role of commentators, ready to give voice, memories and irony to those who today cross the red door.
“NIP” competitors and surprises coming
The 2025 edition starts with twelve competitors, chosen with the intent to move away from the fake glamor of social media and get closer to that humanity that had made the format explode. And it does not end here: in the coming weeks other competitors will cross the red door until it reached winds, with the aim of feeding new dynamics and new tensions.
The Ventura style: instinct and protection
“The determination is intrinsic, that will always be there,” he promises. His compass remains the protection of competitors: “They are the tenant of the conductor, like pupils for a teacher”. No forcing, no spectacularization at any cost: «If they want to tell delicate topics, we will be there. Otherwise, respect and silence ». But the fortune is also ready to surprise. «There may be a script, but if I see something that stimulates me, another program can be born. The authors know it: they are ready for the Swrogers ». Ventura jokes also on the most improbable curiosities: “For now no, poor people, they have just entered,” he replies to those who ask him if he will sing in the studio. “But if there is a need to inflict a punishment to someone … surely.” It is his way of saying that the GF remains unpredictable, ready to change the skin week by week.
The challenge of the listening
The twenty -fifth birthday of the GF is not only a television challenge, but also numerical. According to Sisal analysts, the share will be played around 23.75%, between optimism and caution. To make the game more complex is the debut of the new season of Blanch On Rai1, top fiction with a loyal audience. On the one hand, the reassuring seriality, on the other, the reality that reinvents itself: the duel of the evening will be the first real test to understand if the nostalgia operation really works.
