ACBC inaugurates the Innovation Hub in Milan, innovation becomes an integrated service

ACBC inaugurates his shop in Via Signorelli 10 Innovation Hub: 400 m2 designed to redefine the way in which innovation is anticipated, designed, developed and brought to market in the fashion, luxury and lifestyle sectors. More than a space, it is an operational platform that makes the model tangible ACBC: An end-to-end approach that integrates materials research, product development, strategy and go-to-market. A distinctive positioning compared to traditional consultancy, which translates into a system of services capable of accompanying brands and producers throughout the entire supply chain.

At the center is theInnovation Hubthe technological and design heart of ACBC, where the company operates along the entire life cycle of the product: from the development of materials to design and transformation, up to end-of-life management and circularity. The Hub offers access to a selected ecosystem of emerging solutions, acting as a collector and validation platform: from international startups to scale-ups ready for industrial application. Furthermore, it activates cross-fertilization processes with sectors such as automotive and interior design, transforming research into concrete applications.

The innovation hub matters an internal team of 8 people under the leadership of the Chief Innovation Officer Edoardo Iannuzzi, with experts in the textile, leather and polymer world and a database of more than 3800 materials and around 200 connected companies divided between start-ups and innovators in the world of materials and multi-national leaders, with coverage of different supply chains from Asia, EU and USA. The hub adopts a dual innovation strategy: on one side the area “Available”where innovation researches and makes available to brands on a seasonal basis – following the seasonality of fashion – materials ready for integration and implementation, tested on product Proof Of Concept; and on the other the area “New Frontiers”where the hub develops its own patents with a budget of 5% of turnover in R&Dto create the innovative technologies that will be used for the circular transformation of the fashion sector.

Alongside the Hub, ACBC structures its offering along three complementary lines. There Strategy Consulting supports companies in the definition of growth strategies, in the redesign of organizational and operational models, in operational excellence (purchasing and production) and in the integration of sustainability along the entire value chain, from vision to execution. The Supply Chain Managed Services instead it enables execution: from product development and industrialization to the sourcing of materials, components and finished products, with a scalable and flexible approach. Complete the model with the area Marketing & Communicationwhich translates innovation into positioning, storytelling and activation on the market, through strategies and execution on PR, events and digital channels. Transversal to all activities is the T2T (Trace to Track / Tech to Trust) approach, which integrates technology and traceability along the supply chain, strengthening transparency and credibility of the projects developed.

“The Hub was created to put innovation, often undervalued in fashion, at the service of the sector. ACBC selects and translates solutions on materials, products and circularity into clear and measurable economic and environmental KPIs, allowing brands to evaluate and adopt them on an objective and scientific basis, understanding their concrete benefits.” declares Edoardo IannuzziACBC Co-Founder & Chief of Innovation.
