Record turnout and over three hours of music in a show that retraced the entire career of the Roman singer-songwriter
Around 250 thousand spectators attended the Ultimo concert in the Tor Vergata area, in Rome, for an event that represents one of the largest musical events ever organized in Italy.
Fans arrived from different regions of the country since the early hours of the day. The show took place on a stage approximately 140 meters wide and 60 meters high, equipped with over 2,500 square meters of LED screens, a central walkway and a system made up of 18 giant screens and 38 audio lines to ensure visibility and listening throughout the area.
The exhibition opened with Planets. During the evening the Roman singer-songwriter proposed some of the most representative songs from his repertoire.
Among the guests, Fabrizio Moro also took to the stage, with whom Ultimo performed Eternity (My neighborhood). At the end of the concert, Ultimo shared a video of the audience on its social channels accompanied by the message: «We are in history».
The setlist took the audience on a journey through Ultimo’s entire productionalternating the great hits with the most recent songs. The opening was entrusted to Planetsfollowed by The shepherd And I’m crazy about youbefore leaving room for songs like Monday, Wherever you are, Really beautiful, Swallows on a leash, Falling into your eyes And Romantic. There was no shortage of some of the most representative songs from the Roman singer-songwriter’s repertoire, including The most fragile star in the Universe, Blame the fairy tales, Your details And The dance of uncertainties. One of the most intense moments of the evening was the arrival on stage of Fabrizio Moro, who duetted with Ultimo on the notes of Eternity.
The second part of the concert continued with Let me sing, This evening, Unveiled poetry, Alone and Mental balancebefore a medley that brought together some of the early songs, including The last poem, All this is you, Clouds overhead, Sunday, You feel good, Those two lovers And Always love yourself. In the finale, Ultimo proposed Corner, Come into my heart, Hypochondria, When the city sleeps, Good morning life And Giusyfollowed by Open the lamp and a second medley composed of This senseless desire for you, Have a good trip, Sunrise And That thread that unites us. The last applause came with I dedicate silence to you, September 22nd, Elsewhere and the inevitable Hanging dreams, which closed a show over three hours long in front of a record audience.
