This is the third drop for the Mallorcan brand, in collaboration with Satoshi Kondo, designer of the Japanese fashion house’s women’s collection.
There is no two without three. In fact, Anna, the third chapter of the partnership between Camper and Issey Miyake, has debuted. Presented during the French fashion week in March, the model has been available since yesterday, in a selected number of sales points and on camper.com, and aims to be included in the successful path of Camper his driver of choice. Because Anna, as in the models of the previous two seasons, is not only the tandem between the Mallorcan reality of footwear and the icon of Japanese conceptualism, it is an engineering analysis of feasibility and style. At first glance, the shoe looks like a sock, mounted on a tapered base and heel. It would seem like nothing new under the sun after, just to name a couple of names, the Speed by Balenciaga or the Lunar Epic Flyknit by Nike. In reality, Anna is a step forward, because she leaves the flat world, avoids dizzying heights and experiments with a traditionally rugged territory for fashion: the low heel. Not only that, the TENCEL™ blend knitted sock comes from sustainable wood fibers; while the sole is in Tpu and features OrthoLite insoles. But what makes Anna different is its versatility, whether in the décolleté or boot-like version, it lends itself to interpreting different styles, it will appeal to GenZ, but also to the more adult public. The price? Smart, as are the design objects, which set new standards, from 200 euros and up.
