“This song is dedicated to my mother. As a young woman she was a woman of extraordinary beauty, she resembled Sophia Loren. I have always imagined it as a lily: elegant, luminous, strong and delicate at the same time. ‘Un Fiore’ is probably the sweetest and most melancholic song I have ever written.
It tells of the fear I have that one day I might lose the memory of the most beautiful moments we lived together, those memories that still resurface every now and then and that we like to talk about.
