Maurizio Mastrini: the video of “Un fiore”

After the success of the album “Capelli” and the single “Tango Clandestino”, dedicated to Pope Francis, Mastrini chooses to tell a story that belongs to everyone: the love between a son and his mother, the time that passes, the memories that risk fading and the deep desire to cherish forever what really matters.

This song is dedicated to my mother. As a young woman she was a woman of extraordinary beauty, she resembled Sophia Loren. I have always imagined it as a lily: elegant, luminous, strong and delicate at the same time. ‘Un Fiore’ is probably the sweetest and most melancholic song I have ever written.

It tells of the fear I have that one day I might lose the memory of the most beautiful moments we lived together, those memories that still resurface every now and then and that we like to talk about.
