Independent Judiciary presents team and program for the renewal of the CSM

The deadlines for submitting applications for the renewal of the Superior Council of the Judiciarywhose elections will be held on 25 and 26 October 2026.
Independent judiciary presented the candidates registered in the Moderate Group, «the expression of a vision of self-government based on the authoritativeness of the institution and its independence from political power, on the protection of the independence of the judiciary, on the transparency of decisions and on the valorization of the merit and professionalism of the Magistrate», we read in a note.

For the Court of Cassation the candidate is Salvatore Casciaro (in photo), Counselor of the Supreme Court of Cassation. For i Public Prosecutors College 1 – Stefano BucciniDeputy Public Prosecutor at the Court of Venice. College 2 – Gaetano BonoDeputy Attorney General at the Court of Appeal of Caltanissetta.

The program in ten fundamental points for self-government

Independent judiciary presents itself at the electoral appointment with a program divided into ten fundamental points:

  1. Tendency Stability of the regulatory rules established by the CSM, according to the protection of the magistrate’s trust.
  2. Enhancement of the real professional path of the magistrate.
  3. Certain, transparent and verifiable criteria for the selection of judicial management and the verification of the suitability of managers.
  4. Review of the circular on professionalism assessments.
  5. Revision of the circular on extrajudicial assignments.
  6. A CSM closer to magistrates through agile, digital and transparent information channels.
  7. Strengthening of IT systems and use of artificial intelligence as a tool to support the magistrate’s activity.
  8. Counteracting the punitive tendencies of the PNRR targets and solutions for greater organizational efficiency of the offices.
  9. Extension of the regulation of charges payable to the Court of Cassation and surveillance offices; enhancement of the Trial Office.
  10. Organizational well-being and protection of the economic status of the magistrate in cases of illness.
