During the last members’ meeting, held last Monday 27 July, the Association ApritiCielo proceeded with the appointment of the new President, Maddalena Bumma and the councilors: Nicolao Fornengo (Vice President), Alessandro Sozzetti, Antonio Gugliotta and Claudia Cominotti.
The ApritiCielo Association, a point of reference in scientific dissemination in the astronomical and astrophysics fields, has taken care of and managed the activities of the Turin Planetarium (Infinite). The new Presidency marks a strategic transition for the Association, with the aim of strengthening the role of the Planetarium as a connection center between great scientific research and the public.
“I thank the Region and all the Members for the trust placed in me. It is a great honor and a stimulating responsibility to take on the leadership of the ApritiCielo Association” declared the new President Maddalena Bumma. “Astronomy and Astrophysics have a unique power to arouse wonder and curiosity. Our commitment will be focused on making science increasingly accessible, inclusive and exciting, continuing to strengthen the activities of Infini.to – Turin Planetarium and developing new synergies with research bodies and local institutions.”
Among the priorities of the mandate led by Maddalena Bumma include the strengthening of the educational and informative offer, the renewal of the immersive experiences of the Planetarium and the development of new projects aimed at increasing connections with other institutions and the participation of new generations.
