Spoiler: it is not destined to change, at least not in the medium term.
Within this reality photographed by numbers, an absolute novelty emerges. In London, Manchester, Liverpool and the surrounding areas, the psychological threshold of “one hundred million euros” no longer exists. Crumbled with relaunches in a session that saw it surpassed in at least six successful negotiations plus another myriad that did not materialize. The English do everything, often among themselves, with a single excellent interference from Mourinho’s Real Madrid who, to snatch Diomande from Leipzig, went as far as writing a check for 125 million euros.
Italy? Out of the Top10 despite being able to count the very expensive move made by Milan to acquire Goncalo Ramos from PSG. By the way, the Parisians got smart and they deserve the prize as the best club in the world in the act of giving up if it is true that in one summer they also sent away, in addition to the Portuguese striker, Kolo Muani (38 million plus 12 in bonuses from Juventus), Barcola (125 from Liverpool), Ibrahim Mbaye (55 from Aston Villa), Kang-in Lee (35 from Atletico Madrid) and other minor operations for impact. A very expensive shop but one that works.

The particular feature is the sort of “unwritten pact” between English clubs according to which the money remains in the Premier League system. Nine of the first ten transactions involve a Premier League team as the buyer and in seven cases the seller is a club from the same league: when one exits, valuations collapse. The only exceptions are the money Liverpool spent in the PSG shop for Barcola and the money Manchester City put on Lille’s Bouaddi to secure the new Rodri, who then ended up at Barcelona.
