Looking for a “nose” for the Turku archipelago: travel and accommodation paid, requirements and application by October 25th with a video on Instagram or TikTok
Get paid to travel with your nose. It happens in Finland, where the Visit Turku Archipelago tourist organization is looking for someone who can describe the smells of the Turku archipelago, in the south-west of the country. It is not a hoax, but a real fixed-term contract. Applications close on 25 October 2026.
Work in Finland: what the “nose” of the Turku archipelago does
The title of the advert plays on the English expression “nose job”, which usually indicates rhinoplasty. Here, however, the nose is used to explore. Whoever is chosen will wander around the islands and smell what they encounterfrom the sea air to the woods, from the wood of the saunas to the ovens of the villages, and will tell it with words, photos and videos for the organisation’s social channels. At the end of the stay you will have to give an overall opinion on the perfumes discovered. The objective of the campaign is to focus on smell, the most difficult sense to describe during a holiday.
How much you earn, how long it lasts and what you get paid
The compensation is 2 thousand euros gross, to which must be added the holiday allowance calculated according to Finnish regulations. The commitment is approximately one weekbetween five and seven daysin May or June 2027: the dates will be agreed with whoever is chosen. The organization pays for travel and accommodation. Pay attention to meals: the announcement does not indicate that they are guaranteed, so it is best to check this before accepting.
Requirements: who can applythe
The requirements are few: being at least 18 years old, being free for the entire period of the assignment, having the right to work in Finland and a device for photos and videos, even a smartphone. No qualifications or professional experience are required. Curiosity, naturalness in front of the camera and the ability to make what you perceive interesting are what count. The selection is also open to those who live abroad, including Italians, as long as they respect the conditions.
How to apply by October 25, 2026
To apply you need to shoot a short video: you introduce yourself, take an object of your choice, smell it and tell them what it smells like. Then you have to post it on Instagram or TikTok from an account open to all, with the tag @saaristo_finland and the hashtag #SaaristoNoseJob. Finally, it’s useful fill out the online form on the initiative website, inserting the link to the video. The deadline for applications is October 25, 2026 (by 11.59pm Finnish time, 10.59pm in Italy). No interviews: the choice is based on the video, social profile and form responses. Everyone will receive a response by November 10th, while the name of who will get the job will be announced on November 17th.
