The inauguration in the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio marks a new stage for the legal association, present in six cities between Italy and the United Kingdom, with expertise ranging from corporate law to international operations
The consolidation of legal skills and proximity to the nerve centers of the business also depend on the choice of locations. WEGAL AVVOCATI officially inaugurates its new Milanese headquarters, choosing the prestigious address of Piazza Sant’Ambrogio 21. Unveiled last October 5th during an opening evening dedicated to clients and partners, the new spaces represent a key piece in the development trajectory of the legal boutique, designed to accompany the growth of the business and offer high-profile consultancy to businesses and investors in one of the most authoritative historical and institutional settings of the city.
The WEGAL Lawyers Association was born from the union of leading Italian law firms with consolidated histories and traditions, which have chosen to create a modern, multidisciplinary reality open to international markets.
With offices in Milan, Genoa, Rome, Turin, Cremona and London, WEGAL AVVOCATI brings together skills and experience gained over decades of assistance to Italian and foreign companies and groups, with the aim of offering integrated and qualified support, capable of responding to the needs of a constantly evolving market.
The name itself, Wegal, expresses the meaning of the project: a “We”, a “We”, which places collaboration, sharing of skills and the construction of a common identity at the center, in which teamwork represents a founding value.
A debut between law, culture and tradition
The inaugural event, organized at the historic complex of the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio, where Wegal Avvocati is located, brought together around 700 guests for the staging of Verdi’s famous opera La forza del Destino, proposed in a reduced form and adapted to the opéra-comique genre, with original music, added spoken parts and piano concert with string quartet.
The performance was preceded by the interventions of the psychoanalyst and essayist Massimo Recalcati, the abbot of the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio, Monsignor Carlo Faccendini and the architect Carlo Capponi, Conservator of the Basilica, with the moderation of the journalist and television presenter Sabrina Scampini.
The evening continued with a seated dinner at the Portico del Bramante, with a menu inspired by the recipes loved by Maestro Giuseppe Verdi, in a context that celebrated the dialogue between culture, beauty and tradition.
Integrated skills, people and shared values
WEGAL AVVOCATI’s areas of activity range from corporate and commercial law to M&A operations, from banking law and business crises to civil and administrative litigation, from labor and social security law to energy, public services, maritime and transport, insurance, tax and art law.
This plurality of skills flows into a horizontal and synergistic organizational model, oriented towards collaboration between professionals and international openness, to accompany clients in legal and entrepreneurial challenges, even on foreign markets.
Transparency in relationships with customers and the market, innovation, continuous training and valorisation of the wealth of professional knowledge constitute the founding principles of the firm. The attention to the growth of people and the sharing of know-how is accompanied by the desire to preserve the experience gained, developing it in a contemporary perspective.
WEGAL AVVOCATI, which also presented its new website on the occasion of the inauguration of the new Milanese office, presents itself to the market with a new identity and a shared vision, in which experience, multidisciplinarity and innovation come together to build a professional project aimed at the future, attentive to the businesses and communities in which it operates.
A commitment to the historical and artistic heritage
As evidence of the value that WEGAL AVVOCATI attributes to the meeting between law, art and culture, and to their care and conservation, WEGAL AVVOCATI, on the occasion of the inaugural event, donated a contribution intended to start a restoration and conservation project of the Crypt of San Vittore in Ciel d’Oro, inside the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio.
The crypt, a precious testimony to the late ancient era, houses extraordinary mosaics and the one traditionally recognized as the oldest portrait of Saint Ambrose.
Support for the initiative demonstrates Wegal Avvocati’s desire to combine its professional activity with concrete attention towards the protection of cultural heritage and the communities of reference.
And the concert on 27 October fits in in this same sense: a great concert of classical music, which will always be held within the historical complex of the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio and, precisely, within the Oratory of San Sigismondo. On this occasion, the necessary funds will be raised for the purchase of a new organ to be allocated to the oratory of San Sigismondo.
