For the second consecutive year, the designer brings his creativity to the train tracks that connects North and South with a rich entertainment program.
Coming home for the holidays has never been so glamorous. Against boredom and against expensive flights, the collaboration between Alessandro Enriquez and Sicilia Express is renewed, the special train that unites North and South, the result of the collaboration between the Sicilian Region and FS Treni Turistici Italiani. For the second year, in fact, the designer, Sicilian by origin and Milanese by adoption, has made his creativity available to talk about the beauty of the Mediterranean, the energy of the South and the profound value of returning to one’s roots. “The Sicilia Express is more than a train: it is a story that runs on the tracks, it is an embrace between North and South” – explained the designer, “I wanted to imagine a contemporary Sicily, proud and bright, capable of welcoming and inspiring. A positive, proactive and colorful vision!”. Which becomes visual narration, a connection tool and also a moment of sharing. In fact, a community of Sicilian talents travel alongside the designer, including the singer Alberto Urso, winner of Amici, the pastry chef Mattia Savoca, the perfumer David Di Stefano of the Fossen brand from Noto, the singer Ella and the food traveler Jacopo Becchetti. A journey, therefore, which becomes an experience and a meeting place thanks to book presentations, show cooking, olfactory masterclasses, concerts and moments of entertainment, which transforms the journey into a shared celebration. Sicilia Express leaves from Turin to Palermo and Syracuse round trip.
