House of Guinness Thus wears the audience in the heart of Dublin of the nineteenth century, telling the rise and disputes of the young heirs of the brewery. A story of power, passions and pomp, immersed in era scenography and sumptuous costumes, ready to conquer the spectators this autumn.
The plot of the series
Set in the nineteenth century, the series begins immediately after the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, “the man responsible for the incredible success of the Guinness brewery”, as stated in the official synopsis. The legacy of the Patriarch influences the fate of his four adult children – Arthur, Edward, Anne and Ben – and that of the characters who populate Dublin, closely linked to the Guinness phenomenon.
Knight adds: «It is the extraordinary story of a family that, by chance, inherits the largest brewery in the world. They are young and must take responsibility for this incredibly successful brand. The first priority: do not ruin everything. The second: make Guinness even bigger ».
The cast of the new series
The protagonists of the saga are Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, Emily Farn and Fionn O’Shea, respectively in the role of Arthur, Edward, Anne and Ben. Knight anticipates: «The relationship between Boyle and Partridge lies to the heart of the series, because both have the shared responsibility of the brewery. I cannot reveal too much, but their assignment was conceived by the father in a very precise way. You will discover the reason by looking at the series ».
Next to them, an ensemble of important names: James Norton, Niamh McCormack, Seamus O’hara, Michael Mcelhatton, Dervla Kirwan, Michael Colgan, Danielle Galligan, David Wilmot, Jessica Reynolds, Hilda Fay, Ann Skelly, Elizabeth Dulau and Jack Gleeson.
