All contradictions that emerged after 18 years

18 years after the murder of Chiara Poggi, new traces and contradictions reopen the case of Garlasco. At the center of the investigation, Marco Poggi’s friend: his alibi creaks and imprints ever explained.

The imprint n. 33 and movements in the Poggi house

The so -called imprint 33found on the wall of the stairs that lead to the basement of the house in via Pascoli, has been attributed – thanks to new technologies – precisely to Andrea Semplio by the consultants of the prosecutor, Gianpaolo Iuliano and Nicola Caprioli. It is a palm, without blood, but sufficient to reopen the doubts about its movements inside the house.

In the past, the testimonies agreed on the fact that only a few areas of the house attended: the living room on the ground floor and Chiara’s room, where the computer was located. Marco Poggi in 2007 said: “During their visits we remained either in the TV room, on the ground floor, or we saliva on the first floor, inside the Chiara bedroom, to use the computer”reiterating in 2017: “When Andrea came to me, we spent time playing video games, in the room down or on the computer that was in Chiara’s room”.

The same semium confirmed: «At the time I went at least two or three times to his house to play (…). We spent time mainly playing video games. We played in the house of the house, where there was the console to play with the TV, or on the computer that was placed in the Chiara room “.

However, Marco’s parents in an interview from 2017 declared the opposite: “We never entered, the bell rose, Marco came out and went around for Garlasco”.

After the discovery of the imprint, the lawn of Semve, Angela Taccia, instead argued: “He attended every corner of the house, except the parents’ bedroom”. The novelty of the imprint number “33” therefore does not seem to change the defense of semium, which has always claimed to have been “at home” in the house in via Pascoli. “I have been in all those rooms, except the room of the parents”, its position expressed yesterday to the microphones of Who saw it?: “In there, for better or for worse, I touched everything”, for this “I would not be surprised” of the presence of footprints.

The lawyer of the Poggi family, Gian Luigi Tizzoni, also minimized the importance of the new test: “It is not as decisive as they want to propagate it”adding that Semipio and Marco “They would have traveled several times” those stairs because “Marco kept the playstation and video games in the tavernetta”.

But also this detail contrasts with what reported by the Poggi immediately after the murder. On 21 and 23 August 2007, the console was described in the TV room, also confirmed by the photos of the carabinieri.

Other forgotten footprints

In addition to n. 33, a second imprint returns to the topicality: n. 10found on the entrance door. Deemed at the time “Of no use”today it is indicated how “comparable”but not compatible neither with the Poggi family nor with semium or stasis. It will be analyzed in the evidentiary accident due to the presence of any genetic traces. According to a note from the carabinieri of July 2020, if there had been traces of blood, that could be “The trace of the murder exit from the house”. Already in 2020, an internal note sent to the Pavia prosecutor reported different controversial points in the investigations and suggested insights never made.

Andrea Semplio’s shaky alibi

The real knot, however, remains the alibi of Andrea Semplio, who had so far seemed unassailable. He founded himself on one Parking receipt in Vigevano, dated right in the morning of the crime. But new investigations, starting from cells and tables, found that that ticket could refer not to him, but to the motherwhich that morning sent a message to a firefighter on duty in Vigevano.

The semium phone, on the other hand, hook the cell of Garlasco via S. Lucia between 9:58 and 12:18as reported in a Stasi defense report: «The user of the Semia is not hooked to Vigevano, but rather active the cell of Garlasco via S. Lucia: He was therefore in Garlasco ».

The doubt that the receipt was a built alibi To cover the child he starts taking shape. And the telephone presence in Garlasco coincides with the temporal window of the murder.

The judge who acquitted stasis: «I found the semium receipt very curious

To give further weight to the current investigations is also the rumor of Stefano Vitellithe judge who acquitted Alberto Stasi at first instance. In an interview a Printingreturns to the semium receipt: “I found the receipt very curious, but nobody turned on a beacon …”.

Vitelli, who spoke of the “contradictory and highly insufficient preliminary framework in his device”, adds: “More deepened the thing more something escaped, hovered – and hovered until the end – a shadow of mystery, of incompleteness”.

The judge also recalls the famous Stasi’s “Computer Alibi”initially uniformly due to errors of the carabinieri. Only a subsequent appraisal managed to confirm that: “Stasi worked on the computer that morning. He hadn’t lied. He had told the truth. And that is that he that morning and in key times had worked on the thesis with substantial continuity and intellectual commitment “.

Semve, however, at the time it was never really at the center of the investigation. “There was a strange five -lines page. There was talk of a receipt “recalls Vitelli. But was my job to answer a question: is Alberto Stasi innocent or guilty? Looking for a third way for the judge is abnormal and improper task: it must be third “.

The former Marshal Marchetto: «I wanted to investigate the Cappa twins, but they stopped me

In the vortex of reopenings and new slopes, he also returns to speak Francesco Marchettoformer marshal of the carabinieri, one of the first figures on the crime scene in the house in via Pascoli. Extractial from the investigations just ten days after the crime, he was subsequently accused of having favored Alberto Stasi for not having seized a black women’s bicycle, similar to that indicated by a witness and belonging to the young man of the young man then convicted. The procedure against him ended with the prescription of the crimebut not without consequences: Marchetto was sentenced to compensate the Poggi family with 40,000 euros.

Today, retired, he has returned to comment on the necessary developments during an episode of Live lifestating: “Finally they are doing what I’ve always supported since 2007”.

Marchetto remembers well that August 13, when he was among the first to access the house of Chiara Poggi. A entry that, according to him, took place in an atmosphere of confusion and disorganization: «The first thing that struck me was the great mess. There were too many people inside that house. What did it serve? The investigations have been made difficult. Where there is casino, there is no clarity. There were many carabinieri who shouldn’t have been there “.

His exclusion from investigations, he says, came just when he tried to expand the range of the investigation beyond the figure of Stasi: “I wanted to investigate 360 degrees. When I raised my finger to say that I also watching another side (that it was not the guilt of Stasi, editor’s note) I was exhausted. At a certain point of the investigation, if we had put on a stasis scale or other people, the needle would have gone to the latter, who were not attentive “.

Today, on the new slopes followed by the Pavia prosecutor, it is clear: «The new investigations will finally give the name to the culprit of the crime of Garlasco. Stasi has nothing to do with it “.

Among the slopes never really in -depth, according to Marchetto, there was also the one linked to Twin Cappaclose to the Poggi house. TO Republic He explained: “There was the witness who denies their mother’s movements that morning. And brat that described Stefania by bike with too many details to lie. You had to enter their home, it was necessary to investigate 360 degrees “.

But, remember, his intentions were blocked: “The Captain Cassese said: they keep alibi. But who has ever verified it? “.
