Bezos wedding in Venice, maxi-stressed of activists in Piazza San Marco

The action of Greenpeace and the British collective Everyone Hates Elon against the billionaire.

Piazza San Marco turns into a protest theater on the eve of Jeff Bezos’ wedding. This morning Greenpeace Italia activists, together with the British group Everyone Hates Elon, unrolled a 400 square meter maxi-stressed with the message: «If you can rent venice for your wedding, you can pay more tax»(If you can rent Venice for your wedding, then you can pay more taxesed).

The initiative, conducted in the heart of the lagoon city, points the finger at the founder of Amazon and, more generally, against the environmental and social impact of the billionaire elites.

“Bezos embodies an economic and social model that is leading us to collapse,” said Simona Abbate of Greenpeace Italy. “More and more often social injustice travels hand in hand with the climatic one: on the one hand the arrogance of a few billionaires, on the other million people who suffer the consequences of the environmental crisis”.

The marriage between Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez, expected in the next few days, promises to be one of the most popular worldly events of the year, with the arrival of hundreds of guests from all over the world in Venice.
