Los Angeles is no longer a safe harbor even for Hollywood stars. The last victim of a long trail of thefts that has been sowing panic for months among Californian celebrities is Brad Pitt. While the actor was in London to promote “F1 – The Movie”three thieves broke into his villa in Los Feliz, burgling her in the middle of the night. A blow studied in detail, taking advantage of its absence, which rekindles the spotlight on an alarming phenomenon: the VIP houses are increasingly in the sights of the criminals.
Theft
In recent years, a wave of theft has affected the most exclusive neighborhoods of Los Angeles and southern California, and among the most recent victims there is also Brad Pitt. The actor, who in these days is engaged abroad to promote his new film “F1 – The Movie”was robbed in his residence located at 2300 by North Edgemont Street, in the Los Feliz district in Los Angeles.
According to what is reported by the US media, The theft would take place around 10:30 pm on Wednesday 25 June. Three men – currently still sought by the police – would have climbed the front fence of the property, and then introduced into the home through a portfinestra. The images published subsequently by TMZ They show a plywood panel that covers the main entrance and some workers already at work to repair the damage.
The thieves would flee a few minutes later, taking away an unspecified amount of objects. At the moment the value of the booty has not been announced. At first, it was not possible to trace with certainty to the owner of the villa, but only later did the authorities confirmed that it is precisely the residence of Brad Pitt.
Fortunately, the 61 -year -old actor was not at home at the time of the raid: last Monday he was in fact in London for the promotional tour of “F1 – The Movie”.
The mega villa in Los Angeles
The villa, purchased by Pitt in April 2023 for 5.5 million dollars from Aileen Getty – nephew of the famous oil magnate – extends over an area of about 185 square meters. The property, among other things, had also belonged to James Valentine, guitarist of the Maroon 5 in the past.
Pitt is only the last celebrity to find himself the victim of a theft in his home. In the summer of 2024, Tom Hanks And his wife Rita Wilson had denounced a raid in their villa in Pacific Palisades. At the beginning of 2025 he was touched on the Los Angeles Football Club footballer, Olivier Giroud. And just a week later, just on Valentine’s day, the thieves had targeted the house of Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban.
