Coma Cose, a duo formed by Fausto Lama and Francesca Mesiano – aka California – have announced the end of their relationship and the historic musical project that made them one of the most loved couples on the Italian scene. “Well yes… Fausto and Francesca have broken up”, we read in the message released on social media, accompanied by a short symbolic video. The decision, they explain, was “unanimous and developed in recent months”, kept private until the conclusion of the commitments already scheduled.
«We were just a couple on stage»
At the basis of the separation, the impossibility of maintaining a balance between private life and work. «Work synergy has gradually cannibalized personal life, which has worn out and died. The closer we got to the date to stop, the more we realized we were just a couple on stage,” they wrote.
Ten years of music and a recent marriage
Born in Milan in 2013, Coma Cose have built a unique path in ten years, capable of uniting pop, rap and songwriting in a personal and authentic language. Sanremo was their symbolic stage: in 2021 with Flames in the eyesdeclaration of love in music; in 2023 with The Farewellreflection on a crisis that was later overcome; and in 2024 with Little heartspresented by a married couple. The wedding, celebrated last year, had sealed a bond that seemed unbreakable, making the news of the separation even more unexpected for fans.
Concerts cancelled
In the press release, Fausto and Francesca wanted to thank those who have followed them since the beginning: «They have been ten amazing years, a daydream that introduced us to people, places and situations that we would not have imagined». At the same time, the two concerts in the arenas scheduled for October were cancelled: the 27th at the Forum in Assago and the 30th at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome.
