Don’t go to the stadium on October 25th

Napoli-Inter is played and the secretary of the CGIL invites the fans to defect and take to the streets against the government’s policies. The reaction on social media: “I bought the t-shirt with his face”

A pure playmaker’s play, something that not even Lamine Yamal could do. There is a new game being played in Italy, the one between the fans of the football teams and the citizens (maybe the same ones or not) who are preparing to go to the streets on October 25th to protest against the government’s choices. Marketing strategy? Fake? No, the secretary of the CGIL Maurizio Landini he probably must have said: but why, if Infantino invents the Club World Cup, can’t I invite the fans not to go to the stadium and come to the square with us? If there weren’t serious issues at stake there would be something to say about it. But Landini is serious and publishes a social graphic on a red and gray background with writing in all capital letters. “On October 25th, don’t go to the stadium. On October 25th, take to the streets. I will be there. And you?”.

The matches

The big match Napoli-Inter will be played on Saturday 25th as well as Udinese-Lecce and Cremonese-Atalanta. At this point we expect Landini to put pressure on the presidents of the FIGC and Lega Calcio Serie A Gravina and Simonelli to move the matches to a date convenient for him. In via Allegri in Rome and in via Rosellini in Milan it does not appear that any such requests have been received from the CGIL, but there is still almost two weeks left. Never say never…The people on social media, however, didn’t like the CGIL’s invitation at all. In addition to the usual vulgar comments, however, there are ironic ones that come mainly from the Neapolitan fans. “Add to the majetta ca’ facc and Landini!” . But how strange is this Landini: as a child he dreamed of being a footballer and is a huge AC Milan fan. Is it due to the disappointment of not having made it that he is now boycotting Serie A?
