All the prizes awarded at the AIC Grand Gala: Dimarco elected best overall, Fàbregas best coach. Here’s what the Top 11 is
The Teatro alla Scala in Milan hosted the fifteenth edition of the Gran Galà del Calcio AIC, the event dedicated to the excellence of the Italian football season. The event, which saw Haier as Title Sponsor, was organized by the Italian Footballers’ Association in collaboration with Lega Calcio Serie A and with the patronage of the Municipality of Milan. The evening, opened with a memory of Franco Baresibrought together champions, managers, institutional representatives, entrepreneurs and faces from the world of entertainment in the setting of one of the symbols of Italian excellence, confirming the Grand Gala as one of the most prestigious and anticipated moments on the national sporting calendar. Alongside Haier, Bancomat, Net Insurance, Mulish and Panini participated in the 2026 edition as Main Sponsors.
The evening was broadcast live on Sky Sport from 7.00 pm and free-to-air on TV8 from 9.20 pm. Rivista Undici was the media partner of the event. On the stage of the Teatro alla Scala, Federica Masolin And Fabio Caressa from Sky Sport accompanied the story of the evening and the awards ceremony. The Best Overall award was awarded to Federico Dimarco. Cesc Fàbregas received the Coach of the Year award, while FC Internazionale Milano was elected Club of the Year.
Among other awards, Maurizio Mariani was awarded Referee of the Year and Mattia Liberali as Best Young Player of Serie B. The 2026 edition also introduced the award for Best Young Player of Serie A, assigned by Haier to Nico Paz. During the Gala, the Top 11 of the 2025-2026 Serie A was revealed, lined up with a classic 4-3-3: Mile Svilar between the posts; Marco Palestra, Federico Dimarco, Alessandro Bastoni And Manuel Akanji in defense; Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Scott McTominay And Luka Modrić in midfield; Lautaro Martínez, Nico Paz And Donyell Malen in attack. The «Vote for Goal» award went to Francisco Conceição. The finalist networks were selected by the editorial staff of Rivista Undici.
One of the most significant moments of the evening was the tribute to the protagonists of Italy’s triumph at the 2006 World Cup, celebrated twenty years after one of the most memorable pages of Italian sport. On stage Andrea Barzagli, Alessandro Del Piero, Simone Perrotta, Gianluca Zambrotta And Ciro Ferrara. The awards for the 2025-2026 season were assigned on the basis of the direct vote of the players, who were asked to choose their best colleagues role by role. An exception is the “Vote for Goal” award, awarded by the fans’ vote.
