RAI and Warner Music Italy launch FOURTEEN, an Italian-European girl group inspired by the K-pop model. The performance video of the single “One More Kiss” is online.
The K-pop model arrives in Italy with a project built from the beginning for a European and international audience. Warner Music Italy and RAI accompany FOURTEEN’s debuta girl group made up of four teenagers and at the center of a transmedia project that will combine music, television, social media, digital communities and live entertainment.
After the release of the debut single “One More Kiss”is now online too official video performancea format that has become one of the characteristic elements of the K-pop industry because, alongside the traditional video clip, it focuses on the group’s choreography and performance, allowing the public to see the steps in full and reproduce them on social media.
The FOURTEEN are Viola Scalzo, 13 years old, from Biella; Sofia Di Giamberardino, aka DEEGEE, 14 years old, from Rome; CAHAYA, 14 years old, from Barcelona and of Swedish and Indonesian origins; and Sofia Peleggi, SOFY, 15 years old, from Rome. The group was formed after a selection which, according to the data released by the project, collected more than that 5,000 applicationswith auditions between Naples, Milan and Rome. The average age of the members is exactly 14 years, hence the name FOURTEEN.
“One More Kiss”, published by Warner Music Italy, represents only the first piece of a project designed according to a logic close to that of K-pop ecosystems, in which music, images, storytelling and relationships with fans proceed in parallel. In fact, the girls will also be the protagonists of one original series intended for V/BE, the new RAI Kids channel dedicated to the teen audience scheduled for 2027.
Swedish authors and producers participate in the musical production Andreas Carlsson and Erik Lidbomwhile the artistic direction is entrusted to Paolo Meneguzzi and the choreographies a Mauro Marchese. The project is developed by Joy Production and Fourteen Group with a decidedly international ambition, summarized in the claim: “From Italy to Europe, to the World.”
