A murder that seems to have come out of a horror film and that is reality instead. In Pont-de-Metz, a small town on the outskirts of Amiens, the quiet summer routine was broken by a chilling discovery: a 32-year-old man was found dead in a public park, slaughtered, gutted and arranged on the ground in the form of a cross. A scene so disturbing that even the most experienced investigators left speechless.
The shock discovery at the Pré du Moulin park
The alarm took place in the early hours of the morning of Monday 4 August, when a resident of the area, during a walk, came across the body lying on the grass. The scene, immediately circumscribed by the scientific police, was of those that do not forget: taller throat, open belly, missing internal organs, a body positioned with disturbing precision. “A deliberate, creepy staging,” said Mayor Loïc Bulant, confirming the seriousness of the case.
The investigators have not excluded any track, from the murder with personal motive to a possible esoteric rite. The area has been seized, while looking for clues that can reveal the identity of the author or the authors of this atrocious act. No particular symbol would have been found in the surroundings, but the arrangement of the corpse and the brutality of the wounds feed the suspicions of a macabre staged.
Investigations and previous: the shadow of satanic rites
The victim, a 32 -year -old man from Amiens, was not disappeared in the previous hours and was not connected to criminal environments or extreme religious cults. However, the dynamics of the murder recalls old stories of “black rites” to memory that have crossed the French news in recent decades.
In the 90s the country was shaken by the tragedy of the order of the solar temple, with 16 deaths linked to apocalyptic rituals in the Alps. More recently, cases of animal mutilation had made people talk about alleged satanic cults, then denied by the investigators. But in Pont-de-Metz, this time, there are no legends: only a torn body, left in a public place, with a cruelty that seems to have a message.
Amiens’ judicial police, under the supervision of the prosecutor, works tirelessly to reconstruct the last hours of the victim and understand if there is an isolated gesture behind it or the shadow of a dark cult.
