FuoriSalone, in the name of Alcova

The Baggio hospital comes back to life thanks to the cutting-edge of international design, while Villa Pestarini opens its doors to the public for the first time.

Double destination for Alcova. After the Varedo experience of 2025, the platform curated by Valentina Ciuffi and Joseph Grima returns to the city. On the one hand, it is the spaces of the Baggio Military Hospital that define the language of contemporary design with projects signed by the main design schools such as the AA School of Architecture in London, the UMPRUM Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, the Design Academy Eindhoven and HEAD Genève. On the other, it is Villa Pestarini, Franco Albini’s rationalist masterpiece, now a private residence and never open to the public, which hosts Patricia Urquiola’s installation for Haworth and Cassina, with Albini’s iconic pieces, re-edited exclusively by Cassina, together with contemporary creations by Alcova Shop and Atelier dell’Errore. Not only that, between the floors of the villa and its outdoor spaces, we enter the world of Boccamonte design, Around the Studio; AtMa; Basetal; Elisa Uberti; ISSÉ x Sophie Dries: Playinghouse; Manon Viratelle; News & Coffee x St. Moritz; OOG Objects; Ryuichi Kozeki; Saridis of Athens, Kiki Goti x Marble Sachanas; Sema Topaloğlu Studio; Touch With Eyes and Worn Studio.
