The fears expressed by Alberto Stasi and by the father in the 2007 wiretaps were then revealed to be founded: after a long judicial process, Stasis he was definitively sentenced in 2014 to 16 years old of imprisonment for the murder of Chiara Poggi. Despite the acquittals in the first and second degree, the sentence of Court of Cassation confirmed the conviction. The father, who passed away in 2013, never learned of the outcome of the trial, nor that his son had been granted semi-freedom from 2025.
