The first results of the evidentiary accident do not open to alternative scenarios: no trace of third parties, only the genetic profiles of the victim and the former convicted boyfriend. Meanwhile, the testimony of the hotel manager in Trentino appears: “Marco Poggi was not there with his parents on the day of the murder”
After eighteen years, the tracks of the breakfast on the scene of the crime of Garlasco speak for the first time. But they don’t tell anything new. The DNA found on the garbage bag and the remains of the breakfast consumed on the morning of 13 August 2007 in the house in via Pascoli belongs almost exclusively to Chiara Poggi. The only exception? A genetic trace attributable to Alberto Stasi, the victim’s boyfriend, already definitively sentenced. No unknown profile, no turning point. The results of the evidentiary incident just ended do not strengthen the “alternative” track that points the finger on another suspect, Andrea Semplio. Indeed, they confirm the same biological reality already crystallized at the time of the first investigations: in that house, the morning of the murder, there were only clear and, perhaps, who was closer.
The analyzes, reports the Corriere della Serawere conducted by the forensic geneticist Denise Albani, appointed expert by the investigating judge of Pavia Daniela Garlaschelli, together with the dictiloscopist Domenico Marchegiani. Their assignment: isolation of any biological and digital traces from the finds – including plastic fragments, food packaging and adhesive films – which have resisted the passage of time.
Chiara’s traces Poggi
The swabs carried out on Thursday 19 June in the laboratories of the Scientific of Milan on several objects found in the house – a plastic saucer, a blue garbage bag and the tabs of two fruit packs – have detected organic material. The genetic profile of Stasi
The only male genetic profile isolated during the exam would try by Alberto Stasi. In fact, the DNA detected on the plastic straw of a brick of ecstalé. An element that Stasi himself, former Bocconi student, has never excluded: the evening before the murder had dinner with Chiara. The situation is different as regards the fruit, a product that has always declared not to consume.
