Eleven deaths never fully clarified, all linked by an invisible thread to the Garlasco crime. What we really know
Many, too many strange deaths linked to Garlasco in the years following the murder of Chiara Poggi. Eleven people. All died in opaque circumstances, all linked, in different ways, to the crime of Chiara Poggi and the orbit of Andrea Sempio. It could be a coincidence. It could be the optical distortion that every media case produces, when we end up looking for connections everywhere. And yet, every number and every detail in such a complex case deserves the utmost attention.
The most famous deaths in the media
Giovanni Ferri he was 88 years old when he was found dead on November 23, 2010. He was retired, he was a mechanic. His body was found in a very narrow space, with his throat and wrists cut. The weapon wasn’t there. His wife has always ruled out suicide. The investigators, however, concluded exactly that: he had taken his own life. One element, however, could not go unnoticed: Ferri was Andrea Sempio’s neighbor.
Two years later, in 2012, he died Corrado Cavallinigeneral practitioner in Garlasco, discovered lifeless in his home in Vigevano. Cavallini was the family doctor of both the Sempios and Giovanni Ferri. He had assisted the mechanic’s wife after the latter’s mysterious death. For investigators, it represented the trait d’union between the Ferri case and the murder of Chiara Poggi.
The case that made the most noise is that of Michele BertaniSempio’s childhood friend, found hanged in 2016. The presenter Federica Panicucci, in the episode of Morning Five of last April 15, drew attention to a technical detail: the noose knot would be extremely difficult to tie alone. Shortly before his death, Bertani had published enigmatic phrases on social media. One above all: “the truth lies in the things that no one knows”. Hence, the (justified) suspicions about the dynamics of death.
The other strange deaths linked to Garlasco
Diego Portinari he was 27 years old when he was found dead at home in 2008. It was he who discovered, in a canal near Garlasco, a bag with clothes initially thought to be stained with blood. The body was found three days before the discovery: no one had noticed.
Sasha Pinnafriend of Marco Poggi and Sempio, died in 2014 in outbuilding of his house. There was talk of suicide, but rumors circulated about alleged chases in the previous days. Alfonso Generalson of a local restaurateur, was found dead in the garden in 2008 with bruises to the face and blood: filed as an illness. Bruno Gioncadafarmer, died in 2007 from exhaust gas inhalation. Together with him, she was found dead Teresa Siciliano. The surveyor Flaviano Casiraghi24, died in 2008 from a gunshot. Romeo Braj took his own life in 2013 at the age of 37. And finally Enrico Ramaioli25 year old found lifeless. under an aqueduct tower with drugs in his pocket.
None of these deaths have been formally linked to the murder of Chiara Poggi. The investigations, case by case, have produced conclusions ranging from suicide to illness. However, it is fair to note how these eleven deaths, distributed over a nine-year period, worsen all around the same people and the same country. It could be a coincidence. Or not.
