Harry (perhaps) finds his father Carlo and already dreams of bringing Archie and Lilibet by his grandfather

After 19 months the prince and the king saw themselves again in London: a short but serene encounter that opens to new family scenarios, despite the frost with William

Fifty -four minutes. The meeting between Prince Harry and king Carlo In Clarence House, the London residence of the sovereign. A tea, a few words exchanged in private, no detail revealed. Yet, for the British royal family, this meeting marks a symbolic passage: the return of the second son at home after 19 months and the concrete possibility of a dialogue with his father. “The prince was very happy to be back in the United Kingdom,” said his spokesman, suggesting that the atmosphere, this time, was more relaxed than expected.

An absence that weighs: meghan and children

At the appointment Harry showed up alone, with Meghan who remained in Montecito together with Archie and Lilibet. But the two children entered the thoughts of the Duke of Sussex immediately after the interview: his plan is now to make them meet with his grandfather, King Carlo. An idea that until recently seemed utopian, today appears closer. The prince, according to his collaborators, is determined to build a new family bridge, also for the future of his children.

The frost with William and Kate

If with the father you can see a glimmer of reconciliation, with the older brother the fracture remains deep. William and Kate Middleton chose not to cross Harry during his London visit, doing everything to avoid public meeting occasions. The tension therefore remains unresolved, with the Duke of Sussex who has long been pricking the heir to the throne: “Having a brother is a scratch card,” he had declared ironically.

The visit in honor of Queen Elisabetta

Harry’s London trip was not born only for the family. The duke was in the city to pay homage to the Regina Elisabettathree years after his death. An anniversary that has had the flavor of duty and affection, but which also offered the opportunity for a step towards the reconciliation with Carlo. An opportunity, perhaps, taken on the fly also thanks to the discreet direction of the respective staff, who in recent months had crossed in a private club in London.

Towards a new page?

It is not known what they said they were father and son behind the closed doors of Clarence House. If there have been hugs or old recriminations, a mystery will remain. But Harry’s smile at the exit and his “is fine, thanks many” suggest that this time the distances can really be reduced. A seed of reconciliation that the Duke wants to grow even through his children: Archie and Lilibet as a key to a less divided future.
