The Harry Potter TV series is reality: the young actors who will interpret Harry, Ron and Hermione revealed: that’s who they are and what we know so far
It is official: the TV series of Harry Potter finally has a cast. After months of waiting and speculation, the names of the young actors who will give face to Harry, Ron and Hermione, protagonists of the most loved fantasy saga in the world were revealed. What initially seemed only a project in the embryonic phase is now reality: Warner Bros. Discovery has confirmed the realization of the JK Rowling’s serial adaptation, also revealing the main trio that will guide the story on the small screen.
According to the first advances, It will be a faithful transposition of the seven original novelswith Francesca Gardiner in the role of showrunner e Mark Mylod to the direction and executive production, under the direct supervision of the JK Rowling herself. The ambitious project will involve HBO for the next ten yearseven if it is not yet clear if the seventeenth seven will be seven, like the books, or ten, distributed over a decade.
Harry Potter, the series: what we know so far
The official press release of HBO Max confirmed that each season will be faithful to the novels, thus offering a unique opportunity to a new generation of spectators to immerse yourself in the magical adventures of the young magician. Jk Rowling will participate as an executive producer, flanked by David Heyman – a historic producer of the eight films – which would currently be in negotiations to join the television project.

After an imposing casting phase that involved beyond 30 thousand candidates, The three protagonists were chosen:

The three young actors will join an already announced cast, which includes:

At the moment, an official release date has not yet been communicated, but the arrival of the series is expected indicatively for 2026. In Italy, as already happens for other HBO content, distribution is likely to be entrusted to Sky and the Streaming Now platform.
