The biopic FRANCO BATTIATO. THE LONG JOURNEYdirected by Renato De Maria and written by Monica Rametta, the first film dedicated to the artist, will arrive in theaters on February 2, 3 and 4, 2026 as a special event for Nexo Studios.
The film is a look at the life and passions of one of the greatest artists of Italian music. The biopic follows the path of the young Battiatoplayed by Dario Aita, from Sicily to his arrival in Milan in the Seventies, and shows all personal and professional steps towards success.
The film shows some of the significant meetings that characterized his career and his creative spirit, including those with Giuni Russo, Juri Camisasca and Giusto Pio, friend and co-author of many of the most iconic songs in Battiato’s repertoire.
