The controversial former Juventus manager, Fabio Paratici, can return to work in Italy. Fiorentina is looking for him and Commisso wants to entrust him with the task of avoiding relegation
In the summer he was close to returning to Italian football, linked to Milan who then chose Igli Tare. Now Fabio Paratici, having disposed of the sporting disqualification for the events of the fictitious capital gains of Juventus, is once again toying with the idea of returning to his homeland leaving his adventure as sporting director of Tottenham after a few months. Fiorentina, in a deep crisis, is thinking of him, with one foot in Serie B despite not even having completed the first half of the championship.
Club in disarray, without a reference figure in the sporting area who can keep the situation in hand and plan a January transfer window which must remedy the mistakes of the summer one, which cost the resignation of Daniele Pradè and a shocking start to the season with zero wins in the first 15 days.
Net of the squad problems and the alternation of coaches – first Pioli with a very rich three-year contract, then Vanoli who has not changed gear in the team and finally who knows -, Rocco Commisso’s diagnosis is that the handle is missing. This is why the idea of Paratici surpassing Cristiano Giuntoli in the hierarchy, released by Juventus in the summer after two less than unforgettable years.
The Viola owner, who is in the United States and has not yet returned to Florence to take better care of himself, presented Paratici with an offer on a long-term project (5 years) asking him to leave Tottenham and immediately take charge of Fiorentina. Not a small temptation for a manager who remained entangled in the sporting process regarding Juventus’ financial statements (the so-called “Paratici system”), suffered a long disqualification and evident reputational damage.
This is also why the idea of returning to Serie A is a powerful incentive, despite the fact that at the moment the sporting director is working in the rich Premier League. The negotiation could develop very quickly also because Fiorentina has no time to waste if they want to have any chance of survival after a disastrous first round.
