Italian football prepares for the turning point Maldini as director and Conte on the bench

The new federal president is pushing forward with the former AC Milan manager and the Serie A League is willing to tax itself to get Antonio

The future of Italian football is about to take shape. The new federal president Giovanni Malagò after chairing the first federal council, he speeds up the process for the position of technical director. Malagò is trying to convince Paolo Maldini to deal with the rebirth of Italian football: a stimulating opportunity for the former AC Milan star excluded from the heart of the Rossoneri club a few years ago by Gerry Cardinale with the results that are there for all to see. Maldini will not only be the technical director but also the president of Club Italia which means having a role of responsibility and control over all the Italian teams at youth level. The contacts are continuous and Malagò’s diplomatic art should ultimately bring Paolo to the Federation.

Conte coach also thanks to Serie A

Malagò repeats that he has not yet contacted anyone for the role of technical commissioner but there is a strong push from the Serie A League to bring back Antonio Conte on the blue bench, while the name of Roberto Mancini which was above all Malagò’s idea, did not find the same correspondence among the Serie A clubs. The League, which had a preponderant role in Malagò’s election, is also ready to take the field in a practical way to help the Federation with Antonio Conte’s onerous contract. A common action by all the clubs for the rebirth of Italian football, perhaps it is the right time for the national team and Serie A clubs to go in the same direction for the good of our football. In recent years the ostracism towards the Italian team had created many problems, not least the missed stage before the play-offs in March which ended dramatically for Italy. Malagò assures that within a few days the picture will be completed, barring surprises that are difficult to predict at the moment, it will be up to Paolo Maldini and Antonio Conte to revive Italian football and take it to the next World Cup after we have stood by and watched for three editions.
