Although the organization focuses on social and religious aspects, over the decades it has developed a strong political component, participating in the elections (at all levels), thus trying to influence governments. Waiting for a European Islamic party, the brotherhood has made a break in the left parties (socialists and green) in many countries of the old continent, such as France, Germany, Austria, SwedenSwitzerland (just to name a few), without forgetting Great Britain where the mayors and parliamentarians who are an expression of brotherhood are no longer counted.
