Juventus in crisis has risen again (and now dreams big)

The consecutive victories against Bologna and Roma bring the Bianconeri closer to the Champions League zone. And they say that Spalletti found the cure for the defects of a team in difficulty at the last minute

At a time when it risked sinking towards mid-table, losing sight of the minimum objective of qualifying for the next Champions League, Luciano Spalletti’s Juventus suddenly found themselves again. The two consecutive victories against Bologna and Roma are very heavy not only because they came against two direct opponents in the Europe zone.

It is the newfound confidence with which the Bianconeri leveled the teams of Italiano and Gasperini that represents a new element compared to the recent past and beyond. The feeling left is that Spalletti managed to find the key to the problem at the last minute and to begin to give a precise identity to a team that has been drifting dangerously for too long.

The construction defects remain, as do some inexplicable abstentions from giving on the pitch what they were (sometimes lavishly) paid for: however, in the heart of this winter, Juventus rediscovered an intensity and tactical solidity that they had lost track of.

The fundamental men in Spalletti’s Juventus

There are two men who seem essential whatever the module with which they are deployed: Yildiz And Conceição. The return of defense of Bremer he will lend a hand to the entire department while also helping a midfield condemned to lack quality until the end of the season. All true, but what we saw against Bologna and Roma is enough to be able to say that the “new” Juventus is competitive for the Champions League zone and to not put the dreams of a hypothetical championship race in the drawer. Especially if those in front continue to be inconsistent in their results.

The calendar now provides an incredible assist to the Bianconeri. From now to the end of January, when Antonio Conte’s Napoli arrive at the Stadium, there are five matches on the more than affordable card: Lecce and Cremonese at home, Sassuolo, Cagliari and Pisa away. Attention: in the recent past, disappointments have been bitter in matches that seemed risk-free and, therefore, proof from the pitch is needed to be able to definitively declare Juventus healed. The news at the end of 2025, however, is that the old lady is also back in the running and with still unexplored growth margins.
