The Louis Vuitton Dolomites Classic Run classic car race starts again from 2 to 4 September. A way to celebrate the glories of a maison with a long tradition
Pietro Beccari, CEO of Louis Vuitton and LVMH Fashion Group, speaks of links with tradition, of pride, of optimism inherent in the brand’s DNA, as he announces the return of the maison to the world of vintage cars and Classic Run competitions. «The journey and the connection with cars are part of the Louis Vuitton history and I think they tell a good story about the roots of the brand. Suffice it to say that the first cars had a Vuitton trunk as a spare wheel container” recalls Beccari.
So, 14 years after the last Serenissima Run in 2012, the Louis Vuitton Dolomites Classic Run 2026 will start from 2 to 4 September: a dream two-day event with some of the most beautiful historic cars in the world, along a route that winds from Villa Pisani, in Pra, refurbished with the contribution of the maison, to the Monza racecourse, through the Dolomites. Exclusive dinners, picnics in wonderful mountain huts, visits to museums, plaster cast galleries, a ride on the Formula 1 track and for the winners, a trophy created by Venini and kept in an LV trunk.
As Beccari recalls, citing a claim from the maison: «Vittoria travels in Vuitton», and then adds: «I haven’t stopped setting the bar further ahead yet. Perhaps the victory for me will be to open the most extraordinary building that luxury has ever created on the Champs-Élysées in 2027.”
