Maneskin, the reunion is reality: the band returns together on the Sanremo 2027 stage

The presence at Sanremo 2027 marks the band’s return to the place that consecrated it to international success in 2021.

Damiano David, Victoria De Angelis, Thomas Raggi and Ethan Torchio together again at Ariston. After the long break and solo careers, the group that brought Italian rock to the world symbolically starts again from the place where, in 2021, its history changed forever.

Måneskin are back together. And to do so they chose the stage that more than any other represents the turning point of their incredible artistic parable: that of the Sanremo Festival.

Damiano David, Victoria De Angelis, Thomas Raggi and Ethan Torchio will be among the protagonists of Sanremo 2027scheduled from February 16th to 20th. The reunion of the Roman band was confirmed by Stefano De Martino, host and artistic director of the 77th edition of the Festival. The details of the performance remain confidential for the moment, but the certainty is what millions of fans have been waiting for: the four Måneskin will return to the same stage.

A return with a very strong symbolic value. Because precisely at Ariston, in 2021, the history of the group changed dimension. With “Shut up and be good” Måneskin won the Sanremo Festival, and then won the Eurovision Song Contest a few months later. From that moment on, the Italian phenomenon became an international case: charts, world tours, festivals, collaborations and increasingly larger audiences transformed four boys from Rome into one of the best-known Italian rock bands in the world.

After years of living practically non-stop between studying, promoting and touring, the band decides to slow down. There was never an official dissolution announcementdespite the rumors that have accompanied the individual choices of the four musicians for months. After a very long phase of international activity, the members simply began to explore personal paths.

The path most exposed in the media is that of Damiano Davidwho moved to the United States and built a true solo career, showing a different musical identity from that of the Måneskin frontman. His first solo album arrives in 2025, Funny Little Fearsaccompanied by an international tour. Damiano will also speak openly about the need for that break, explaining how the need to temporarily move away from the band arose from a personal search and not from the end of the relationship with the other members.

Sanremo brings Måneskin back together, ideally closing a circle that began at Ariston six years earlier. It remains to be seen what will happen next: whether the appearance at the Festival will be a one-off event or the beginning of a new phase, with new music, concerts or perhaps a world tour.
