The Milanese jewelery event returns from 20 to 26 October with 400 brands, eight thousand unique creations, widespread spaces and unmissable events
Milan never stops. Fashion week has just begun, and thanks to the Vogue World event, celebs such as Jennifer Lopez, Pamela Anderson, Monica Bellucci, Dakota Johnson, Marco Mengoni and Aryna Sabalenka have landed in the city, and we are already looking forward to the next MJW -Milan Jewelry Week. Now in its sixth edition, the event dedicated to precious stones confirms itself as one of the most awaited events with over 400 exhibitors for a total of works on display exceeding 8 thousand and more than 50 events in a widespread route, which finds its points of reference in Palazzo Serbelloni and Palazzo Bovara, while the streets of the city host appointments and vernissages. Scheduled from 20 to 26 October, the Milan Jewelry Week is created by Prodes Italia and can count on the patronage of the Municipality of Milan, the support of partners such as ANTICO – National Association for the Protection of the Gold Sector, AOL Associazione Orafa Lombarda, Assemblage Contemporary Jewelery School, Inhorgenta and WWJ Women Jewelers Japan. «Since the first edition our goal has been to bring producers and the market into contact», explained Enzo Carbone, CEO of Prodes Italia, at the press conference, «this season we are growing by 20% on various fronts, from exhibitors to already confirmed buyers and we expect an equivalent growth also in terms of visitors». In fact, among the main new features are the strengthening of the Buyer Program, expanding meeting and business opportunities; the introduction of our eponymous observatory and the renewal of the MJW Awards system with new categories and a new composition of the juries, which will involve authoritative professionals and representatives of the specialized press. All these initiatives reflect our desire to constantly evolve Milan Jewelry Week, keeping it open to the transformations of the sector and the new creative energies that are passing through it.” In detail, the format on precious items will be structured following a precise schedule: from 20 to 26 October the Experiential Journeys invite the public to visit jewellery, concept stores, boutiques and galleries; from 24 to 26 October focus on Artistar Jewels and Talent Show at Palazzo Bovara, while The Jewelry Hub illuminates Palazzo Serbelloni. The event will close on the evening of October 25th with the awarding of prizes with the Awarding Night at the Milan Auditorium: among the awarded categories, Contemporary Design, the awards to the emerging designers of Assamblage and INHORGENTA, the MJW High Jewelry Award, the award for manufacturing, excellence in boutiques, innovation and vision with the MJW Visionary Award
