The body of a young woman, between 25 and 30 years old, was found in the courtyard of a building in via Paruta, in Milan. She was half-dressed and without documents. The prosecutor’s office is investigating for murder

The lifeless body of a young woman was found on the morning of Monday 29 December in the courtyard of a building in via private Paruta, in the northern area of Milan. The victim, not yet identified, is said to be between 25 and 30 years old. She was half-dressed and without documents. The prosecutor’s office has opened a case and at the moment is not ruling out any hypothesis, including that of murder.

The discovery in the courtyard of a building

The caretaker of the condominium made the discovery, who found the body in an internal driveway, under the windows of an apartment and near the entrance to the residential complex. According to initial information, the young woman was not recognized by the residents of the building.

Bruises on the body and marks on the neck

Bruises and bruises on the face and neck were found on the woman’s body. At the moment it is not clear whether these signs are directly linked to the cause of death: the investigators point out that there do not appear to be any obvious injuries that would immediately explain the death, but any evaluation is postponed to medico-legal investigations.

Investigations underway and cameras under scrutiny

The carabinieri of the Radiomobile Unit and the Investigative Unit intervened on site, coordinated by the public prosecutor on duty Antonio Pansa. The area was cordoned off to allow forensic investigations. Investigators are acquiring and analyzing images from surveillance cameras present in the area, considered a crossing point, to reconstruct the last hours of the woman’s life and verify any suspicious movements during the night.

No hypothesis excluded

The absence of documents and personal effects, combined with the conditions in which the body was found, keeps the range of investigative hypotheses open. The autopsy, already ordered by the prosecutor’s office, will clarify the causes of death and provide decisive elements for the investigation. In the meantime, investigators are continuing their checks to trace the identity of the victim and understand how she arrived in the courtyard of the building.
