The new car incentives are underway. Reservations start today on the Ecobonus platform. The contribution is paid as a discount on the purchase price and varies based on the environmental class of the vehicle being scrapped and the ISEE of the buyer. The maximum incentive for a car is 13,500 euros. The contribution can be obtained for the purchase of non-polluting vehicles category M1 (motor vehicles), L1e – L7e (motorcycles and mopeds), N1 and N2 (commercial vehicles). The bonus is also for those who buy used category M1 vehicles and N1 and N2 commercial vehicles, including non-electric ones. In the new incentives are also includes company cars owned by companies or legal entities.
How much can you save? Depends. The rules are dictated by the environmental class (CO2 emission) of the car you buy (three bands have been identified) and the one you scrap. In this case we are talking about: Euro 0 (registered before 31 December 1992); Euro 1 (registered since 1 January 1993); Euro 2 (registered after 1 January 1997); Euro 3 (registered after 1 January 2001); Euro 4 (from 1 January 2006); Euro 5 (after 1 September 2009); Euro 6 diesel. Here are the three cases:
If you buy a vehicle with emissions from 0 to 20 g/km (electric cars) the contribution to purchase it without scrapping it is 6 thousand euros, 7500 euros if you have an ISEE of less than 30 thousand. If, however, you scrap your car, the euros rise, again based on the class and ISEE. By scrapping a Euro 0-2 vehicle the contribution is 11 thousand euros (13750 with ISEE under 30 thousand); with Euro 3: 10 thousand (12500); Euro 4: 9 thousand (11250); Euro 5: 0 euros (8 thousand). Therefore the maximum contribution is 13750 euros. But be careful: the new car (VAT included) must cost a maximum of 42,700 euros.
If you cover a vehicle with emissions between 21 and 60 g/km (plug-in hybrid) the contribution to purchase it without scrapping is 4 thousand euros, 5 thousand euros with ISEE less than 30 thousand. If it is scrapped the accounts change. By scrapping a Euro 0-2 the state incentive is 8 thousand (10 thousand with ISEE under 30 thousand); Euro 3 goes to 6 thousand (7500); Euro 4 is 5500 (6875) and for Euro 5 zero (5 thousand). So the maximum in this case is 10 thousand euros and the new car (VAT included) must cost a maximum of 54,900 euros.
If you buy a vehicle with emissions between 61 and 135 g/km (mild hybrid or thermal cars) the contribution is only possible with the scrapping of another vehicle and there is no distinction based on the ISEE. They range from 3 thousand euros for Euro 0-2 machines up to 1500 euros (for Euro 4 machines), passing through 2 thousand euros for Euro 3. Nothing if a Euro 5 is scrapped. So the maximum in this case is 3 thousand euros and the new car (VAT included) must cost a maximum of 42,700 euros.
For used cars, the bonus is 2 thousand euros for the purchase of Euro 6 used cars with emissions up to 160 g/km for a maximum cost of 25 thousand euros. And it is only possible if a car up to Euro 4 is scrapped at the same time. Vehicles that have already had state incentives in the past are excluded from the contribution.
The contribution is also for new two, three and four-wheeled electric mopeds and motorcycles in the categories. If you scrap a vehicle (Euro 0-3) the bonus is 40% of the list price up to a maximum of 4 thousand euros. If it is not scrapped, the contribution is 30%, up to a maximum of 3 thousand euros.
