Parajumpers celebrates twenty years of success at fashion week

A pool of international creatives reinterprets the iconic Gobi outerwear, between AI, sculpture and craftsmanship in the spaces of the Ex Ansaldo

Happy Birthday Parajumpers. The outwear brand, born from the collaboration between the Paulon textile family and the creative director Massimo Rossetti, celebrates its first twenty years of activity during Milan Fashion Week with an exhibition open to the public today and tomorrow in the spaces of the Ex Ansaldo in via Tortona 58 in Milan. At the center of the project is the house masterpiece, the Gobi, the first outerwear created by the company which, over time, has won the favor of celebs such as Bradley Cooper. A pool of twenty personalities reinterpreted it, including creatives, designers and music producers, who reinterpreted the model through their vision, creating 20 works of art, ranging from craftsmanship to Artificial Intelligence. Among the artists, just to name a few, for Italy there are Alessandro Gomiero who used AI and photorealistic animation; FabLab Venezia + Territorio Tipo using 3D printing and Giacomo Bevanati who transformed the jacket into a wearable sculpture. Then come the photographer Frédéric Lagrange and the composer Romain Azzaro from France, while from the Anglo-Saxon world, Helena Elston’s work in mycelium and the musical sculpture of Leigh Davies stand out. Finally, from the Far East, the interpretations of Chul-Yong Choi, Pabaja and Yoshinori Ono. After Milan, the exhibition will travel to South Korea, where alongside the works, the works of the students of the Dean of the Graduate School of Fashion, Hongik University of Seoul, Germany and France will also be exhibited.
