Points of view: Giulia Schiavo

The actress, who plays Erika in the first series of Creatives, talks about her projects and confides in us her passions for style and beauty.

Among the most interesting Italian performers of her generation, Giulia Schiavo (at the beginning and in the gallery in the images by Gioiele Vettraino) began to get noticed in 2018, thanks to the role of Alice in Skam Italia, a remake of the Norwegian series on the life of today’s young people, and then made her film debut in La Partita by Francesco Carnesecchi. Today he is a protagonist on the main streaming platforms with Creatives, the independent series directed by Davide Manganaro, which tells the story of the events and vicissitudes of a unique communication agency. In this interview he tells his story.

Request. What unites you and what distances you from the character of Erika in Creatives?

Answer. Having the real person on set who I would then play as a reference made everything more intense, more alive. In Erika I see my energy and ways of doing things, we share the same stubbornness. Perhaps our aptitude for discipline differentiates us, she has a lot of it, I feel like I have a very active mind and I don’t always manage to stay focused. I think a lot.

Q. A second series of Creatives is already planned, what can you tell us?

A. I can’t make any predictions, I can say that my character will have a more 360-degree development.

Q. What other projects are you working on?

R. I’m rehearsing for a theater show that we should stage soon, the theater electrifies me as a space. In the meantime, I’m waiting for responses and trying to dedicate myself to what’s good for me.

Q. How is your relationship with fashion and the world of style?

A. Fashion is a type of artistic expression that I love, it’s a story. Changing clothes is like changing skin, and through them you can give life to different stories, clothes are a mirror of how we feel. I like fashion to be cheeky and extreme sometimes. My everyday style however is simple, I like to dress casual with a piece of denim. I’m obsessed with jeans, I have tons of them!

Q. Can you tell us about your beauty routine?

A. My beauty routine cannot miss a thorough cleansing with milk or a delicate mousse, sometimes serum, eye contour and illuminating moisturizing cream morning and evening. For years I have always used a light fluid sunscreen before going out, summer and winter.

Q. What are four places you would recommend?

A. The greenhouses by Vivi and Blackmarket Hall as Roman venues. Maxxi as a museum and the Barberini cinema. A place that has a lot of meaning for me is the orange garden, I have gone there many times to regenerate, sitting and breathing. Rome in the spring in the evening is one of the most magical places in the world, there is poetry and beauty everywhere.
