Jannik takes advantage of the German’s poor physical condition and only grants him one game
All too easy for Jannik Sinner. Awkward start
Zverev probably wasn’t able to take the field and it showed immediately. Practically standing still on his legs, he was unable to respond to Sinner’s blows who immediately broke his serve. It’s not that Jannik did anything, but the German dragged himself around the pitch, sometimes giving the impression of not being able to stand. First break in the second game, then in the fourth and peremptory 6-0 in the first set. Little better in the second with Zverev who managed to win only one game and then the match became agony for him, fortunately slow because Sinner ended the match with a 6-1.
In the final with Auger-Aliassime
Tomorrow at 3pm Sinner will play the final with the Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime who beat Bublik 7-6, 6-4 in the semi-final. The precedents against Auger-Aliassime for Sinner say 2-2: However, Jannik recently won in Cincinnati and at the US Open after two defeats in 2022. But the Canadian is announced to be in great shape and it won’t be easy for Sinner. The motivation, however, is enormous, if he beats the Canadian he becomes number one in the world again.
