According to the latest investigation by Censis, fear grows among Italians, especially among women. They increase robberies, slicts and violence. And almost half of the crimes is attributed to foreigners. A reflection on political data, perceptions and removals.
I took as we were talking about the new Pope, I think a lot of research elaborated by Censis on the issue of safety has escaped. I summarize, for those who were lost, the essential data: 94.2 percent of Italians when it is away from home would like to feel calm And evidently, if it manifests this need, it is not always; 75.8 percent (which rises to 81.8 percent in the case of women) think that in the last five years, from the point of view of safety, things have worsened; While 67.3 percent of women are afraid of returning late in the evening.
Staying in the women’s field, an interviewed out of four claims to have suffered sexual harassment, on 23 a snatch or a handbag, Almost 30 of having been followed by a stranger. In short, the picture that emerges is alarming: women are the first to be targeted, but in general The Italians don’t feel quiet at all And, confirming their feelings of fear, we read data that speak of a growth of 24 percent of the so -called robberies in the public street, or of the armed hand attacks. The snatches increased by 7.9 percent, the “only” bags of 2.6, but perhaps also because many, especially foreign tourists, renounce to present the complaint due to the complications. But who are responsible for this feeling of insecurity and this increase in crimes? Here too the numbers are interesting. After the umpteenth episode of violence in the square in Bologna (a non -EU citizen who tried to hit passers -by with a couple of scissors), the Interior Ministry has released the data. Result, from the statistics it emerged that on over 19 thousand people arrested or reported in the last year, almost nine thousand were of foreign origin, i.e. 47 percent of the total. Analyzing in detail the crimes, it turns out that almost 60 percent of the sexual violence are committed by immigrants and the same percentage is proposed when it comes to thefts, while for the robberies it rises to 63 and for drug dealing almost 70 percent.
What do I want to say with all these figures put in beautiful row? Simply, taking the Bologna case, as notes that the majority of crimes that alarm the public opinion referred to in the Censis report are committed by foreigners. Nothing new, because it has been discussed for some time, but the news is that both the social alarm and the violence attributable to immigrants grow hand in hand. Faced with these shocking statistics, the political class and also the judiciary (the law enforcement officers do their best, but if the judges put the criminals stopped in the act of crime every time, neither police nor police can make us a lot) should decide emergency measures, ending up an end to years of laxism. Instead, no: since arresting a thief, a robber, a drug dealer and even a rapist does not earn the first pages, those who should validate stops and arrests shrugs. And a part of politics, to avoid being accused of discrimination, pretended not to see, ignoring the problem. Are you wondering why, with everything that happens in the world, I chose to return to the security topic? The explanation is simple: I believe that in the results that the right movements are collecting throughout Europe, the theme of immigration is not foreign. From London to Paris, from Berlin to Bucharest, without forgetting Vienna, the migratory question today is felt in the polls.
Of course, there is not only that, because to push the voters towards sovereignty groups there are also the themes of poverty, of war, and more generally of the energy transition. But I believe that together with these problems, that of security related to immigration is in Europe of extraordinary importance. If more and more voters decide to vote for the Rassemblement National, for reform UK, for Afd or Aur there is a reason: they are afraid for their future and for that of their children. In the face of all this, the establishment does it do? Instead of dealing with the problems, try to hide them, putting out of the movements that try to give answers to the needs of the base. It is a bit like if the doctor, instead of taking care of a plague, told the patient not to look at her and also not to scratch. If I have a bad plan in the garden, I try to eradicate it, I don’t pretend that that plant is not there. I say normal and perhaps even trivial things? So normal that the political class (but also the judiciary) does not get there. So they think they ban a party, almost as if it is enough to prevent people from thinking with their heads.
