Starting from the first holidays, in fact, the slopes will be packed – weather permitting – with a total turnover estimated at 12.1 billion euros, up by +3.6% compared to the previous year. According to the report from the JFC Italian Mountain Tourism Observatory, in fact, attendance will increase by 3.8%, thanks to the strong increase in foreign guests, between +8% and +8.8%, which will offset the reduction in Italian attendance (-3.9%). Despite the price increases, it is estimated that the ski week will cost on average 30% more than three years ago, the sector remains resilient thanks to hospitality (+6.3% for ski weeks and +9.7% on high season weekends) which will generate a turnover of 5.9 billion euros; rental and ski passes at 4.78 billion and catering up by 5.5%.
