The Shareholders' Meeting of SIMEST (Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Group), meeting under the chairmanship of Pasquale Salzanoapproved the Financial statements as of December 31, 2023. The company, led by Queen Corradini D'Arienzoit took in total resources for 8 billion of euros, increasing by 358% compared to 2022. The activated resources they surpassed the 9.5 billion euros, more than 5 times higher than in 2022.
The activity of export supportfrom the 295/73 fund managed in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), recorded a growth of over 10 times attesting to 6.2 billion of Euro.
THE subsidized financing, from the 394/81 fund managed in agreement with the MAECI, have achieved 1.45 billion of euros, increasing by 34% compared to 2022, supporting approximately 3,000 businesses.
The Participatory investments have supported expansion projects of Italian companies abroad for 310 million of euros, increasing by 133% compared to the same period of the previous year, divided as follows: 94 million euros from own resources; 74 million euros from resources of the Venture Capital Fund managed in agreement with the MAECI; 142 million euros relating to the granting of interest subsidies (Fund 295/73).
Volumes in portfolio grew by 12% reaching 29 billion euros, with over 15,000 active customers, of which over 93% are SMEs. In 2023 it was also estimated, in collaboration with CDP, the impact generated on the economic and social fabricItalian, equal to 0.5% of GDP generated, and about 140,000 jobs created/maintained.
Net profit of 3.5 million is increasing by over 100% compared to 2022 thanks to the qualitative increase in investments and the valorisation of numerous strategic initiatives in the management of public funds.
