In his debut in the ATP 500 in Austria the South Tyrolean dominates his German opponent and wins in less than an hour. In the round of 16 Italian derby with the Roman tennis player and in January performance in Korea with Alcaraz
Jannik Sinner is in great shape, Carlos Alcaraz, who was overwhelmed by the Italian tennis player in the exhibition in Riyadh, knows something about it and also discovered it Daniel Altmaier beaten in 58 minutes in the first round of the ATP 500 tournament in Vienna. The match was a monologue from the Italian tennis player, Sinner’s superiority was almost embarrassing in the first set which ended 6-0 in just 22 minutes of play. In the second set Altmaier risked everything, managing to land some spectacular shots and took the small satisfaction of winning two games. Sinner closed the match 6-2 on his own serve. Effective with the first service ball, devastating with the backhand from the baseline, spectacular in some short balls and even in some runs to the net which almost always ended to his advantage.
Now the Italian challenge with Cobolli
In the round of 16 an Italian derby will be played in Vienna between Sinner and Flavio Cobolli. A great opportunity for the Roman tennis player to compete with the number two in the world, but also for Jannik because Cobolli is a fighter and will try to make his life difficult. Something that no Italian tennis player has ever achieved, in fact in previous matches against his compatriots, Sinner boasts an impressive 16-0 in his favour. Meanwhile Jannik has made his participation official before the Australian Open, at aperformance in Korea with Alcaraz which should be played on January 10th even if the date is not yet official. The fee for the two champions has not been disclosed, but a six-figure sum is to be expected.
