Antonio Ricci’s satirical news program debuts on January 22nd in prime time with a renovated studio, six Veline, Demo Morselli’s band and guests such as Del Piero and Bruzzone
Thursday 22 January Striscia la Notizia – La Voce della Presence debuts in prime time on Canale 5 in a new location that aims to relaunch the satirical news program by Antonio Ricci. Five episodes, one a week, hosted by the historic couple Ezio Greggio-Enzo Iacchetti, including variety, irony and investigations that have made the format a classic of Italian television.
The most obvious innovation is the completely renovated studio, designed to integrate television rhythm and satirical style. Alongside the two hosts, this edition introduces a group of six showgirls: Alessia Anzioli, Lavinia Circeo, Ginevra Festa, Lara Granata, Nausica Marasca and Virginia Stablum, selected to give new energy and stage presence to the programme.
Six Showgirls and a live band
For the first time in the history of Striscia, the broadcast hosts a live band, directed by Maestro Demo Morselli, who will accompany gags, reports and moments of variety. A choice that further pushes the program towards a more spectacular approach, enriching the rhythm of the episodes.
Maria De Filippi debuts as a correspondent
The opening of the first episode will see a moment destined to get people talking: Maria De Filippi will make her debut as a correspondent for the satirical news program. With her there will be Tina Cipollari and Giovannino, protagonists of a Striscia-style mission: the delivery of the iconic “merdina” to those who park in the spaces reserved for people with disabilities. A service that promises to blend social commentary and irony, according to the tradition of the program.
Del Piero and Bruzzone guests of the first episode
The inaugural episode will see the presence of two exceptional guests: Alessandro Del Piero, 2006 world champion, and the criminologist Roberta Bruzzone, protagonists of interventions and moments of discussion that will enrich the evening.
Over the course of the five weeks, the show will from time to time host other personalities from the world of sport, current affairs and entertainment.
The historic correspondents and the faces of the columns
The entire team of correspondents, who have always been the narrative engine of the program, will also return with Greggio and Iacchetti. At the starting line Luca Abete, Dario Ballantini, Rajae Bezzaz, Antonio Casanova, Jimmy Ghione, Giuseppe Longinotti, Enrico Lucci, Michele Macrì, Francesco Mazza, Moreno Morello and Valerio Staffelli.
They will be joined by satirical columns curated by faces now familiar to the public: Cristiano Militello, Barbascura X and Rosaria Rollo. New correspondents, known and unknown, will enter the scene during the episodes, because – as the tradition of the program recalls – “whoever is a correspondent for Striscia is one forever”.
Gabibbo celebrates 35 years
Also on stage is Gabibbo, the absolute icon of the programme, celebrated for his 35-year career. After the star welcome received at Lucca Comics & Games, the red puppet returns to the small screen as the central element of this new season.
The theme song dedicated to Trump’s tantrums
Closing each episode will be the theme song “Dazi”, dedicated to Donald Trump and his political excesses. A perfect ending for an edition that wants to remain faithful to the satirical vocation of Striscia, but with a richer, more scenographic structure designed for prime time.
