Six floors, over 50 rooms and a panoramic terrace with swimming pool in the heart of the city.
After years of waiting, the Soho House Milano project officially enters a new phase. The international club dedicated to the creative community has announced the start of the next redevelopment works of the former Cinema Arti, the historic building in via Mascagni destined to host the first Milanese House.
The opening is expected by the end of 2028 and will mark a new chapter in the Italian expansion of the group, already present in the capital with Soho House Rome.
From the former Cinema Arti to the new Soho House Milan
Inaugurated in the 1930s, Cinema Arti represents one of the most recognizable architectures in the center of Milan and still retains the charm of places created to welcome culture and entertainment. Its transformation will allow a new function to be returned to a historic space, while maintaining that connection with the creativity that has accompanied Soho House since its birth.
The future House will develop on six levels and will bring together hospitality, work, well-being and social life in a single address. The project will include club areas reserved for members, more than fifty rooms, a gym and various areas dedicated to meetings and conviviality. Among the most anticipated elements there will also be a panoramic terrace with swimming pool, destined to become one of the symbolic spaces of the structure.
A new home for the city’s creative community
The arrival of Soho House Milan will consolidate a presence that, in reality, the group has been cultivating in the city for about ten years. Through the Cities Without Houses program, designed for centers in which there is not yet a physical headquarters, Milanese members have already been able to access the international community, frequent the Houses present in the rest of the world and participate in a calendar of experiences organized locally.
One Night Only dinners, appointments during Milan Fashion Week, gastronomic takeovers and initiatives dedicated to well-being have contributed over time to building a network made up of professionals from fashion, design, art, communication and cultural industries. A community which, with the opening of the new headquarters, will finally find a permanent meeting point in the heart of Milan.
«Over the last ten years we have built an extraordinary community of Soho House members in Milan, who have been able to enjoy events and experiences all over the world thanks to the Cities Without Houses program», explained Esther Brown, Group Membership Director of Soho House. “We are excited to look forward to opening Soho House Milan in 2028 and, until then, we will continue to create opportunities to bring together and inspire Milan’s creative community.”
