Starbucks unveils The Apron Project in Milan

Participating in the initiative are Francesca Ragazzi Head of Editorial Content of Vogue Italia and the designers Carolina Castiglioni of Plan C and Galib Gassanoff of Institution.

Starbucks does an encore in Milan. After the first chapter of The House of Coffee in January with the collaborations of K-Way, Nordica and Poldo Dog Couture, with the Milan Women’s Fashion Week it is time for The Apron Project. The new drop, curated by Sarah Andelman, focuses on the reinterpretation of the Starbucks apron as explained by Esther van Onselen, Vice President Brand & Customer Experience for Europe, Middle East and Africa, “The green apron is the emblem of Starbucks and has become a global icon. We felt this was the right time for The Apron Project, uniting two worlds of craftsmanship and highlighting the bold creativity of four Milanese designers, who expressed their bespoke vision by reinterpreting the apron Starbucks as a fashion leader for Spring/Summer”. An initiative that aligns with the trends for the next hot season starting from the creativity of Prada, unveiled on the occasion of the women’s fashion week in September 2025. In detail, Starbucks’ proposal involves four personalities from the fashion world. In fact, their apron is designed by Francesca Ragazzi, Head of Editorial Content of Vogue Italia, Carolina Castiglioni, founder and creative director of Plan C, designer Sara Battaglia and Galib Gassanoff, founder of Institution. The entire proceeds from sales will be donated to charities chosen directly by the participating designers, in line with their principles and social commitment as underlined by Gassanoff “I am happy to be part of the Apron project, because it offers me the opportunity to support a cause of great value, the Hothur Foundation. The organization supports the treatment and rehabilitation of victims of acid attacks in India, a cause that is very close to my heart since I discovered this reality thanks to its founder, Kulsum Shadab Wahab”.
