Biesse SpA announces that the Board of Directors, meeting on 5 May 2026, resolved to co-opt Dr. Stefano Porcellini as the new director of the Company. This appointment follows the resignation of Dr. Alessandra Baronciani on 30 April 2026, for personal reasons, already communicated on the same date on the website.
At the same time as the appointment, the Council awarded Dr. Porcellini the delegations and powers relating to the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer reporting directly to the President and CEO, therefore qualifying him as a non-independent executive councilor. To Dr. Porcellini was also assigned the functions of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Investor Relator, with the related operational and representation powers within the limits established by the Board. The effectiveness of these positions will start from the effective date of the doctor’s resignation. Pierre La Tour (31 May), current holder of the same roles.
The evolution of the path that led to this appointment represents a successful example of how an unfavorable situation can often be transformed into an opportunity: the search for a new CFO has in fact started a series of discussions with Dr. Porcellini which made it possible to broaden the scope of the roles, to the point of converging on the assignment of the role of Deputy CEO.
With this appointment, Dr. Porcellini rejoins the Biesse Group approximately five years after his previous experience, bringing back to the Company a wealth of skills and knowledge deeply rooted in the company reality. In agreement with the CEO, Dr. Porcellini will be called upon to fully execute the guidelines of the 2026–2028 Strategic Plan, already approved, making use of the organizational structure redesigned in September 2025.
The functions relating to Corporate Affairs, Senior Executive Officer and the Global Human Resources Department remain in charge of CEO Roberto Selci.
Through the entry of Dr. Porcellini, Biesse intended to capitalize on its complete and transversal knowledge of the Group, together with the recent skills acquired in the world of consultancy, in particular in the field of digitalisation, the central strategic direction and pillar of the approved Three-Year Plan.
“The initiative is part of the desire to further strengthen the Group’s ability to operate in a constantly evolving context, leveraging solid leadership and a long-term industrial vision. I particularly appreciated Stefano’s willingness to share the development path already mapped out and I am confident that his entry will represent added value for me, as well as for my collaborators, in the implementation of the established plans” said Roberto Selci.
